Rotary 4-Way Test

The Rotary 4-Way Test is a simple yet profound ethical guide for decision-making and personal conduct. It consists of four questions: "Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?" These questions encourage honesty, fairness, and consideration for others in every action or decision. Created in 1932 by Herbert J. Taylor, the test was adopted by Rotary International in 1943 as a cornerstone of its values

The test helps individuals and organizations evaluate the ethical implications of their choices. It fosters trust, understanding, and collaboration, strengthening relationships and communities. Its universal principles make it applicable across cultures, professions, and personal situations. The 4-Way Test is a timeless tool for promoting integrity and positive change in the world by focusing on truth, fairness, goodwill, and mutual benefit.

About Us - Rotary Club of Big Canoe

Our Mission

The Rotary Club of Big Canoe is dedicated to serving our community through impactful projects, leadership, and volunteerism. Guided by the principles of integrity, fellowship, and service above self, we strive to create meaningful change both locally and globally. Through collaboration and commitment, we aim to support initiatives that enhance education, health, and community well-being for a brighter future.

Our Club

The Rotary Club of Big Canoe is a community that represents different professions, experiences, and perspectives but also shares a desire to connect with others to address the challenges affecting our community and communities worldwide.

Our Community Commitment

The Rotary Club of Big Canoe demonstrated its commitment to community support by presenting an $8,000 check to the Pickens County Weekend Snack Program. This donation will help provide essential food supplies to children in need, ensuring they have access to nutritious snacks over the weekends. The program plays a crucial role in combating hunger and supporting the well-being of local families. The Rotary Club’s contribution reflects its dedication to making a positive and lasting impact on the community.

Our Programs

Our Club offers opportunities for our members – and those interested in making a difference – to get involved. Through our club meetings, social events, and volunteer projects, our members learn about the issues facing our community and communities worldwide, partnering with local, national, and global experts to exchange ideas about potential solutions and draw up action plans to respond. Along with these opportunities to serve, members can regularly network, resulting in lifelong friendships and business connections.
