The Club is proud to be the featured sponsor for The Terraces Music event on July 3. Attendance at this event will count as meeting attendance for club members. The Club tent will be set up on-site, and all members are encouraged to attend, help welcome guests, and represent Rotary in the community. This is a wonderful opportunity for fellowship, visibility, and service as we greet attendees and share the spirit of Rotary. The concert will feature Billy and the Jets and will begin at 7:00 p.m.

This Club Assembly will focus on the Club’s operations, priorities, and strategic direction for the new Rotary year. President Barbara will provide an overview of the goals and action plans that will guide our work in the months ahead, including upcoming fundraisers, service projects, programs, and community events. Members will also have the opportunity to learn more about the Club’s committees, consider where their interests and talents can best be used, and choose meaningful ways to become involved throughout the year.
The meeting will be at the Clubhouse Overlook with social time at 5:00pm and the meeting at 5:30pm.

Retired Colonel Maureen Clay will lead a patriotic and thought-provoking program on “hinge moments” in history, with a special focus on how wartime weaponry has influenced the course of events. Rather than presenting this as a traditional lecture, Colonel Clay hopes to create an engaging discussion that invites members to reflect on moments in history that may have seemed small or insignificant at the time, yet ultimately led to major changes in the way people live, work, defend themselves, and understand the world. Members are encouraged to come prepared to share examples, questions, or observations about historical turning points that reshaped society in unexpected ways.
The meeting will be at the Clubhouse Overlook with social time at 5:00pm and the meeting at 5:30pm.
The Rotary 4-Way Test is a simple yet profound ethical guide for decision-making and personal conduct. It consists of four questions: "Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?" These questions encourage honesty, fairness, and consideration for others in every action or decision. Created in 1932 by Herbert J. Taylor, the test was adopted by Rotary International in 1943 as a cornerstone of its values
The test helps individuals and organizations evaluate the ethical implications of their choices. It fosters trust, understanding, and collaboration, strengthening relationships and communities. Its universal principles make it applicable across cultures, professions, and personal situations. The 4-Way Test is a timeless tool for promoting integrity and positive change in the world by focusing on truth, fairness, goodwill, and mutual benefit.

The Rotary Club of Big Canoe is dedicated to serving our community through impactful projects, leadership, and volunteerism. Guided by the principles of integrity, fellowship, and service above self, we strive to create meaningful change both locally and globally. Through collaboration and commitment, we aim to support initiatives that enhance education, health, and community well-being for a brighter future.

The Rotary Club of Big Canoe is a community that represents different professions, experiences, and perspectives but also shares a desire to connect with others to address the challenges affecting our community and communities worldwide.

The Rotary Club of Big Canoe demonstrated its commitment to community support by presenting an $8,000 check to the Pickens County Weekend Snack Program. This donation will help provide essential food supplies to children in need, ensuring they have access to nutritious snacks over the weekends. The program plays a crucial role in combating hunger and supporting the well-being of local families. The Rotary Club’s contribution reflects its dedication to making a positive and lasting impact on the community.

Our Club offers opportunities for our members – and those interested in making a difference – to get involved. Through our club meetings, social events, and volunteer projects, our members learn about the issues facing our community and communities worldwide, partnering with local, national, and global experts to exchange ideas about potential solutions and draw up action plans to respond. Along with these opportunities to serve, members can regularly network, resulting in lifelong friendships and business connections.

The Rotary Club of Big Canoe dedicates its efforts to impactful community projects, focusing on education, health, and community engagement and relief efforts. We provide scholarships to deserving students, host food drives to support families in need, and collect home medical equipment. Through these programs, our club enhances the quality of life and fosters a spirit of service in the community.
